I am so honored to have been recognized by the OC Board of Supervisors as a Woman Making a Difference in Orange County for my work at Hanaeleh. It was a lovely event held at the Bower’s Museum, and while listening to the bios of the amazing women in Orange County who were, indeed, making a difference: doctors, lawyers, judges, philanthropists, etc., I honestly did not feel that my work with the horses is anywhere as important as these absolutely incredible women. Just knowing that there are so many talented and dedicated women who are constantly moving and breaking barriers, however, gives me continued optimism that there is hope for the world.
Many thanks to Kathi K. and Nikki K. for nominating me, and to the OC Board of Supervisors for recognizing my work with the horses.
